It will take a while for all the pictures to load, but
while that happens ill fill your domepiece with misc. words
and nonsense- the Satellite Gallery show opened on June 15
and featured new and selected work by David Hale and myself (w/
a few sculture pieces by Joe Shea #9). D had 30 or so pieces in
the show and I had 8. We also collaborated on an installation
featuring several painted birdhouses n goards, bamboo shoots,
indian dieties, pine nuggests, and toys R us safari animals.

I spoke to Dave a few days before I went up to asheville and
he told me he had some birdhouses n goards to paint-
it just so happened that i also had a piecemeal birdhouse installation i had been playing with in
the studio. here's the fledgling stages of pulling it together:

Day 1:

the space is beautiful.

here's Bill the gallery owner hanging David's cardboard piece:

we decided to put a little mural along the bottom wall
to pull it all together like robes around naked peoples:

Day 2:

we had a bunch of stuff. we figured throwing it all over the
floor would be the perfect way to start:

the bases for the trees were
rocks hot glued to pieces of balsa.
hot glue guns are vital for success.
im convinced they might be able to patch up
the current state of global political affairs:

tree stumps from yurt-town:

david hanging goards:

we got some help from Bill's beautiful daughter Aislin:

close ups:

finished product:

dude. after walking all over downtown looking for a
place to eat we decided to drop a few bills on a real
swanky joint:

Day 3:

Yurt town is amazing! Its a plot of land immediately
adjacent to Deerfields right outside Asheville.
David will call this home in August- the show was called
Homeward Bound in anticipation of this great event.
here's only a fraction:

i wish i had a Ruben Rude hanging
in my bathroom:

an Oliver Vernon hiding in the backroom:

and a Sam Flores-

the opening:

the following pieces were in the show:

+ 2 wood cuts and multiple birdhouses-

the show will be up til the end of July so
if you're going up to Re:Generation be sure
to stop in and take a look!
